If this sounds like you: you post regularly, results are flat, and you want someone who has done this before to tell you what is wrong.
When we look at a coach's or expert's channel, we record a short walkthrough for them: what we see, what it is costing them, and what we would change first. This is what we check, in this order.
1. Is the person visible?
For client acquisition, viewers need to see who you are. We check whether you appear on camera, speak to the viewer directly, and come across as a real expert rather than an anonymous channel or AI voiceover.
2. Does each video have a job?
We look for a mix of top-of-funnel videos that find new people, middle-of-funnel videos that build trust, and bottom-of-funnel videos that convert. Most channels have one kind only, or no deliberate plan.
3. Titles and thumbnails
We review click-through packaging against what is winning in your niche: curiosity, clarity, repeated text, clutter, and whether the thumbnail and title work as a pair.
4. The first 30 seconds
We check for a hook, early credibility and a reason to keep watching. Long intros and unfocused clips are the most common places viewers leave.
5. Calls to action
We check how many asks the video makes, where they sit, and whether they feel like a natural next step.
6. Distribution and traffic
Sometimes the content is good and the problem is that too few of the right people see it. We look at topic choice and packaging for reach.
What you get
A walkthrough tied to your channel's own data, a clear view of the two or three changes with the most leverage, and a plan for how a team would run the work while you record. Chris of Auticate described the experience this way: a member of the team sent a video that went through his concerns point by point with data from his channel and a strategic plan.
